Mid Winter Newsletter

Hiya, folks! The Cool Hands and Luke Warm himself wanted to let you know about all the sweet, sweet, action we’ve got simmering on the skillet… check it out:

Saturday, 2/7 (TOMORROW!) at the Nomad, LWATCH is supporting the Henhouse Prowlers. These fellers from Chicago are the real deal and we’re happy to make them feel welcome around these parts. We do hope y’all’ll join us – tickets are $10 at the door and $8 in advance. You can pick them up from any of the Cool Hands or at the Electric Fetus, the Nomad, or online at musictoday.com. Come on down and have a time with us! Doors open at 8:30, and we’ll open up at 9pm sharp.

Next up, at The Bulldog Downtown, Luke Warm and the Boys are excited to team up with Matt Ray, as well as The Thirsty River Band to support the Rural Uganda Fund. Ben Kaster, resident physician at UW Madison, and his Ugandan friend John Mary, founded the Uganda Rural Fund and will be going to Uganda in April to work with children and families affected by poverty, AIDS, and healthcare disparities. Come join Luke Warm and the Cool Hands, Matt Ray, and The Thirsty River band for an afternoon of fun and HOPE. LWATCH starts things off at 2 PM, followed by Matt Ray at 4, with Thirsty River playing at 6. Make sure your calendars are open on Saturday, February 28th so you can join us in supporting this great cause at The Bulldog Downtown.

Further over the horizon, Luke Warm & Co. are looking forward to kicking off the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association’s (MBOTMA) Winter Bluegrass weekend festival at the Crowne Plaza in Plymouth, MN on Friday March 6 at 6:00 PM – the first of over 40 bands all weekend!  Come on down and check out the scene!
